ABOUT US

2024 Marks Our 20th Anniversary

The Buccaneers football team was established in March 2004, starting their journey in Bolingbrook, IL. Over the next few years the organization worked endlessly to build a solid team with a committed fan base. With all the hard work and dedication, the Buccaneers won their first MSFL Eastern Conference Championship in 2007. This organization holds strong ties with the communities interests and since most of our activities and sponsors are held in Joliet, that is when it made the most sense to officially change the teams name to the Joliet Buccaneers in 2009. The Buccaneers are the oldest Adult Amateur/ Minor League/ Semi Professional Football program in the Will County area. It’s success and stamina starts with the great citizens from Joliet and all the surrounding communities in Will County, IL. 2024 marks our 20th Anniversary and without the continued support from the following local businesses since 2004: Ateki Corporation, Benford, Brown & Associates, Midwest Sport Institute Dr. David Burt M.D. Kozol Brothers Inc, Hooters of Joliet, First Choice Auto Repair, Illinois State Representatives Natalie Manley and Larry Walsh Jr. , Former Will County Executive Larry Walsh Sr. and Illinois State Senator Meg Loughran Cappel.

The Mission of the Joliet Buccaneers Adult Amateur Football Team is the pursuit of the
following principles:

COMMITMENT
Unite individuals to inspire pro-social friendships, strong interpersonal skills,
and organize athletics through football among grade school, high school, college and adult age groups in the community.

POSSIBILITY
Unite individuals who want to expand their perspective and to make themselves aware of life’s possibilities.

To establish a “First Class” Adult Amateur Football Club, that embodies professionalism, order, and family-affordable entertainment for all;

To create and bolster ties in the community; and

To uplift the image of Adult Amateur / Minor League / Semi-Pro Football.

The Joliet Buccaneers are committed to positively impacting the lives of their fans through the Will County area. Players, coaches, front office staff and their families are involved in the community appearances, partnerships with other nonprofit organizations, charitable donations, outreach programs, multiple youth program initiatives throughout the year. The Buccaneers Organization funds it-self off of local business sponsors, and individual player fees each and every year of operation.
